It seems like folks on here love to buy cheap cars on Craigslist, because y'all know enough mechanics-wise to fix them if they should break. Cars on Craigslist tend to scare me, thus, I don't browse Craiglist for cars much. However, this evening, I finally waded in to the sea of bargain beaters, cool projects, and witty, grammatically incorrect ads that is the Omaha Metro Craigslist. Here's some of the stuff I found:
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! - surprisingly cheap, even w/ high maintenance costs
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! (minus gold trim)
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! (needs work)
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! o
And finally, the answer is always low-mileage !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! !

You were a Craigslist virgin? How have you lived life until now?

EDIT: having now read the advertisement; this Baja is an amazing deal. Full cage, bus transmission, front disc brakes, etc.

Paying too much to have others chew my automotive food for me.

1948 Hudson no motor or transmission no bumpers...Ouch. That being said I would kill to own that Hudson. Looked pretty straight and I am a sucker for the old land yachts. That Peterbilt was pretty cool too! So much want in such a small post!

If I had my choice of any sub-5k car in the world, I might very well end up with a black 1991 Mercedes 560SEL. But yes, I like all of them very much.

I'm really diggin' that black 300SD I found. I've never been a Benz guy but wow I like that.

Ah, CL, it tempts me so and then brings me down.
So what are the rules of Lemons? Do I have to split the bill of sale into "Car, $500", safety cage, $500"

Thanks, fixed it now. I was looking at the International too, but it's a little heavy on the project part of project car.

That P1800's gorgeous. Probably a NP, too.

I've found a few gems here and there in the Lou'. Most remarkable were a first-Gen M3 with stupidly-low miles for only $5K in stunning condition, an FD RX-7 bone-stock and allegedly with new seals for under $10K, and the 1990 Volvo wagon I bought (and still own) from Brentwood (now Dean Team) Volvo, among others.
